"The VSG Studio Cockpit "Behind the Brand" Every fabric choice, every fit test, and every styling decision happens right here at this desk."

I am writing this to you today because, above all else, I honor your trust.

In an industry that often relies on illusions, algorithms, and faceless transactions, I believe you deserve radical transparency.

When you choose to invest your money, your time, and your most important moments with VSG, you are placing your trust in me.

I want you to know exactly who and what you are trusting.

If you’ve spent any time browsing our collections, you might have noticed something different.

You won’t find youth-washed, heavily filtered, or unrealistic representations of womanhood here.

What you will find are real women.

Real bodies.

Real style.

I want to take a moment to introduce myself and the philosophy behind the brand you are shopping with today.

I am the founder of VSG.

I am a real person, a Black Woman, and a retail and fashion expert with 40 years of experience.

My roots in this industry run deep—straight to the heart of Seventh Avenue in New York City, the historic epicenter of American fashion.

My journey didn’t start with an algorithm or a fast-fashion trend. It started four decades ago with an understanding of how garments should be constructed, how fabrics should drape, and how a woman should feel when she walks into a room.

I learned the business of fashion where it matters most: in the trenches of the industry, understanding the architecture of style.

My years on Seventh Avenue and beyond taught me discipline, precision, and the gold standard of design.

I built VSG because I looked around the fashion landscape and saw a glaring omission.

The woman who has lived, who has earned her confidence, who has taste, memory, and standards—she was being ignored.

The industry was trying to make her younger, thinner, or invisible.

I decided to give her visual permission to be exactly who she is.

Yes, Me again, Real .....I wear what I sell.

The Earring Scale "Transparency in every detail. We show you the true scale of our pieces (like these stunning hoops next to a quarter) so you know exactly what you're investing in. But the real magic happens when you put them on.

Real women, real style, real joy."
Real women, real style, real joy."

Every model you see on this site is a real woman.

When we do photoshoots, we aren't just capturing garments;

we are capturing the essence of women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s who are living vibrant, full lives.

We style them authentically, honoring their curves, their wisdom, and their unique beauty.

But my commitment to "real" goes far beyond the final photograph.

It starts long before a garment ever reaches you.

"From the showroom table to the red carpet. Every piece is hand-selected and inspected by me before it ever reaches you.

It starts with me, in the showroom, inspecting the goods.

I am physically there, running my hands over the fabrics, checking the quality of a crystal tie on the table, and making the buying decisions.

: "The Gold Standard isn't just a phrase; it's a practice. Before any piece makes it to the site, it hits the studio table. Because when we say a garment has a 42-inch sweep, we mean it."

It continues in the studio, where I take a tape measure to the garments to verify the sizing, ensuring that a 42-inch drape is exactly what it claims to be.

And it doesn't stop there. Before I ask you to wear a piece, I test it myself. I put on the size 1X two-piece set. I feel how the blazer moves, how the pants fit, and how the fabric breathes.

I test the fit and feel on myself, a real woman, so that when you wear it out into the world—like our stunning model on the balcony overlooking the city—you look and feel like a masterpiece.

Because when you step out into the world—like our stunning model on the balcony—I want you to feel as confident and comfortable as I do. And because of the way this fabric is cut, every set-up is unique in the script placement, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind."  She is wearing size 3X.

Do we edit our photos? Yes, a little.

We might adjust the lighting, smooth out a background, or enhance the colors to make the image as beautiful and polished as the garments themselves.

On a hanging in our studio, "Why do we edit our photos? To show you the truth. The beautiful, deep cowl drape of this top .

We might edit a photo to ensure the neckline on the model accurately reflects the deep, draped cowl neck of the real top hanging in our studio.

But the woman? She is real.

The product? It is exactly what you see.

We never alter the truth of who these women are or the integrity of the clothes they are wearing.

We just make sure they are presented in the best possible light—because that is what they deserve.

When you shop with VSG, you are not supporting a faceless corporation.

You are supporting a small business built by a woman who understands your body and your lifestyle.

You are investing in a brand that believes elevated occasion-wear shouldn't stop at a size 12, and that true style only gets better with time.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for trusting me with your wardrobe for your most important moments.

Take a look around.

See yourself in these women.

And remember: you don't need to be made younger.

You just need to be seen fully.

Welcome to the Gold Standard. Welcome to VSG.
